Global experts addressing the technical aspects of Business Incubators & Accelerators

The overall theme of the Conference is Innovation and Incubation. The Tech Camp takes place over the course of two days and will be divided into substantive sessions providing the opportunity to focus on specific areas within business incubation,  international and local industry experts will deliver keynote sessions on the newest methodologies that business incubators should adopt and disseminate.

The future cannot be predicted, but indeed we are witnessing the development of a new type of business support intermediary: one which is more connected, open and resourced. The Tech Camp’s aim is to accompany these transformations by providing not only incubators & accelerators but also the entire entrepreneurial ecosystem with the newest tools, global developments, innovative techniques, technical know-how and procedures that can reshape and revolutionise existing models to better support SMME development programmes, entrepreneurial ventures and prepare our workforce to be innovative and remain relevant.

Ultimately, the event wishes to showcase the utility of business support organizations and their strong role in stimulating local economic development by ensuring qualitative and innovative services.

Who should attend:

Government and public sector entities:  You will gain better understanding of incubation in Southern Africa and be exposed to best practice on designing and implementing more impactful SMME development programmes using Incubation.

Corporate sector, including procurement, transformation and ESD departments: You will learn how incubation and its elements can support businesses development programmes, such as SED and B-BBEE Compliance, SOE Supplier Development and localisation compliance.

Incubators and Accelerator hubs:  You will be provided with the newest tools, technical know-how and procedures to improve and enhance the services you provide.

The Africa Tech Camp will have a key focus on the integration of the business value chain and how incubation can support effective and efficient processes.
